Le Cœur et l'Âme · Photograph by the author · 3h 47m of exposure, DwarfLab DWARF 3
William Herschel discovered it in 1784. It holds at least six pulsars, as well as sources of X-rays and gamma rays. In the photo, it is a small dense ball with a very bright core, at the centre of a field covered in stars.
