SIMBAD tentatively classes it among the irregular galaxies, and gives it about 1.9 arcminutes by 1.3 in the near infrared. It is receding from us at 2,525 km/s, according to its redshift. The photo shows a diffuse halo, brighter at the centre, with an irregular outline, strewn with foreground stars.
