Le Cœur et l'Âme · Photograph by the author · 3h 47m of exposure, DwarfLab DWARF 3
It covers only about one arcminute, and its irregular shape is thought to come from the wind of its central star, a white dwarf whose surface temperature approaches 90,000 kelvins. In the photo, it is a small blue, mottled disc at the centre of the frame, with a sharp star in its middle, at the heart of a crowded field.
